This starts off as pretty standard Mad Men ”Don Draper is cool/people in the 50s were sexist” stuff. Then at 1:20 Don Draper starts talking about Jesus. I have no idea what Jesus has to do with anything he says before or after. His coworkers appear similarly shocked and confused. I wish someone could explain to me why Don Draper is talking about Jesus. It is inexplicable to me.
Update: Later in this episode, Don gets high for the first time and has a flashback to a childhood encounter with a Depression-era hobo. Mad Men is a weird show.
